What I love about autumn

Ahhh Autumn

I absolutely love autumn, as well as winter it’s one of my favourite seasons.

Let’s just talk about the reasons why I love autumn shall we.

New flavoured coffee has to be top of my list as to why I love autumn, I’m not going to go into too much detail as I’m planning a full post about my favourite autumn coffees but lets just say I’m kinda obsessed with having different flavoured coffees this time of year.

Moving on lets discuss the colour change of the trees/leaves. I love it when it finally gets to autumn and I’m walking the dog or walking to work and the tree’s have changed from green to lovely reds, oranges and brown colours it’s just beautiful and I love seeing it.

Staying on the topic of trees/leaves I love the crunch of leaves when they’ve fallen onto the ground, I may be 24 but I love it when I see a big pile of leaves on the floor because I will just go walking through it kicking the leaves in the air, I have no shame in admitting that.

Waking up early on a morning is a no-no for me, I’m not a morning person at all, however when I do have those early mornings it’s great to go outside and take in the fresh air. I find that the air in autumn is just so much fresher and you can smell more nature and this is the only thing I love about the early mornings.

I may still be in my early 20s but I 100% prefer a night in over a night out any day of the week, yes I love my nights out when I actually go on them but I love cosy nights in way better. This is another thing I love about autumn, cosy nights in front of the tv, wearing cosy pjs, fluffy socks, under a nice snuggly throw, perfect.

From my previous post, you can read it here if you haven’t already, you guys know I love candles and I love nothing more on an evening than burning a candle or 10, I find that it makes the house 10x cosier and I love how nice it makes my house smell.

Damn am I a sucker for a good ol baggy jumper, I find them so snuggly and cosy and I love layering them up with tops and a jacket and paired with jeans and chunky boots for a nice little autumnal look.

I feel like when it comes to autumn, the dark cosy nights in  and candles burning just makes me want to bake. I love the smell of pumpkin when it’s baked it makes the kitchen smell beautiful and I love baking with it. I recently baked a carrot cake and the smell it left in my kitchen was gorgeous.

So these are just some of the reasons I love autumn, what are your favourite things about autumn? Be sure to let me know over in the comments.

Until next time
