5 tips to becoming a morning person

I’m an absolute sucker when it comes to sleep, I bloody love it & if I get woken up when all I wanna do is sleep then I’m the grumpiest person ever and will most probably be in a mood with whoever woke me up for a good few hours. I’m also not a fan of having a full-blown conversation when I’ve literally been awake for less than a minute, yes Marko that’s aimed at you, let me wake up, thanks bye.

I thought it would be a good idea to share with you guys some tips to make you become more of a morning person, I’m going to start implementing these into a routine and hopefully they help me become a morning person.

One thing I’m guilty of and need to stop doing and is tip number one and it’s to not hit snooze, I’m terrible for doing this, I’ll set about 3 alarms in the morning and snooze every single one of them, then I end up running late and usually don’t get a chance to have breakfast & we all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so DON’T HIT SNOOZE.

Another thing I’m guilty of and that’s not getting straight out of bed, my alarm will go off and after snoozing it a million times I will sit and scroll through all my social media platforms for a good 20 minutes again another reason why I’m always running late and miss breakfast.

Go outside and get some natural day light and some fresh air, I don’t know about anyone else but as soon as I step outside I’m suddenly wide awake. First thing on a morning when I wake up I always let the dog out to do his business, I never go out I always just stand inside but I really need to start going out with him and getting the fresh air. Usually if it’s my day off I always go straight back up to bed but I need to start staying productive and not being in bed.

Do some exercise, get your heartbeat racing and mind pumping that way it keeps you awake and starts your day off right. It doesn’t have to be like a huge workout, maybe just like a 10-15 minute warm up just to get your blood flowing.

Have a shower, this will 100% wake you up and it just kick starts your day. To be completely honest I prefer my shower in the evenings, but I also feel like they’re both 2 different showers, your morning shower wakes you up and prepares you for your day ahead & your evening shower makes you feel fresh after a hard day at school, uni/work etc.

So there we have it, my 5 tips to becoming a morning person, I’m hoping these start to help me as well as helping out you guys too. I give it a week until I’m hitting the snooze button again.
