Why do I blog?

Hey Guys

Welcome back to my blog, I hope you’re all well.

Today I thought I’d talk about why I blog, now this question runs through my mind on a daily basis, so I thought what better way to answer it than in a blog post. Right I’m just gonna get straight into it, so here it goes.

Why do I blog?

I blog because honestly  it’s something I absolutely love doing, I can literally just sit and be in my own little bubble for hours on end and just write. No matter what I’m talking about or how I’m feeling this is something I absolutely love doing.

When I first decided that I wanted to start a blog I’m going to be completely honest and say I didn’t actually think I would enjoy it as much as I do. Lets just say it all started with the idea of me wanting to start writing a book but that didn’t really work out in my favour. However this wasn’t going to let my love of writing stop there so that’s when I came to the decision to start a blog and I’m so glad I did.

I know I shouldn’t doubt myself but sometimes I just can’t help it and yes I understand that my blog is still not where I want it to be, the content is all over the place and definitely not as strong as I want it to be but I do sometimes find it so difficult to write, I tend to have a lot of brain farts and my mind will just go blank. No matter how much I do love it, it can be very difficult but it’s something that I’m gonna keep improving on so I can get my blog to where I want it to be.

I work on my blog every single day, that doesn’t necessarily mean that I post daily because I don’t but even when I’m not publishing a post I’m still working on my blog whether that be content, pictures or even working with getting the perfect title for a post.

Lately I’ve been concentrating on my blog a lot more, I write notes every single day, I set myself goals and tasks to complete and I’m going to be completely honest now that I’m not putting so much pressure on myself I’m enjoying it a lot more.

When I first got into blogging 10 months ago now I was pushing myself to get a post out every single day and I just wasn’t enjoying it as much as I knew I should be, so I took a break from it. 2 months I went without posting a single thing, but in those 2 months I had that constant desire to want to get back in front of my computer screen and start writing again so that’s exactly what I done. But this time round I didn’t just jump straight back into it, I wrote down tips that I’d been reading that would help me out and make me fall back in love with writing again. I have tips such as have a set time for posts, be organised, set goals, have set days to publish, make sure to have fun and its these little tips that helped me get back into the full swing of blogging again.

As well as having a love for writing, one thing I absolutely love about blogging is the blogging community that I’m apart of. Again right back when I first started blogging I didn’t communicate with other bloggers, I was barely on social media, all I thought about was writing and getting something published. But now I follow so many amazing, lovely and inspiring women & men that share this passion of blogging with me. I communicate more, I post a hell of a lot more on my social media & yes I’m going to say it again I’m having so much more fun with it. I love reading fellow bloggers post & I love it when someone reads mine and enjoys it.

I’ve actually had the majority of this post in my drafts for at least 4 months now but I just didn’t know what else I wanted to say, baring in mind I’ve only recently just got back into blogging, so when I started this post I wasn’t really enjoying it as much and was just writing for the sake of getting a post out, but now that I’m back and loving every single minute of writing again I knew that I could continue this post and get it finished.

So there we have it guys, this is why I blog.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I enjoyed finally being able to finish it.

Until next time

  1. I have been blogging less than a year and I enjoy it tremendously. I experiment with my writing going from serious to humorous to totally off the wall sometimes. Right now humorous observations have caught my fancy. Blogging is fun. I enjoy reading your posts.

  2. Lovely read. I think taking a second to think about why you’re doing it really helps to motivate you, too. Whenever I’m having a bit of a wobble about blogging, I stop and think about why I started and why I do it and it helps me get on the right track. I’m glad you’re more involved with the blogging community now, mainly because we met through Twitter! 😀 x

    1. Thank you so much Ruth. Like I said in the post I’ve had this in my drafts for 4 months and I’ve finally been able to finish it. I’m still not where I wanna be, I still have ALOT more work to do but I’m happy with where I am right now. And yeah I know Twitter is the best for communicating with other bloggers x
