Challenge accepted

Hey guys

I know I’ve been away from blogging for a while now (2 months to be precise) but I’ve been dying to get back into it. I’ve been writing down lots of ideas, writing tips & setting myself goals so that I can get straight back into it and that’s exactly what I plan to do. I’ve decided that I’m going to push myself to get 3 posts published a week and I’ve decided on set days to publish which are Wednesday’s, Friday’s & Sunday’s. Like I said I’ve set myself goals too and I plan to write about 3-5 posts in one day (mainly on my days off from work) so I have plenty prepped and ready to go when I need them.

So for my first post back I’m going to talk about a challenge that I’ve been set by one of my best friends Georgia. She’s known for a while now about how unhappy I’ve been with my body and how unfit I am and really just how much I wanna change my lifestyle. I’ve been doing really well I think when it comes to eating, apart from weekends when Marko’s home from work and is a very bad influence. I do tend to walk a lot (to and from work & walking Lou etc which works out to around 10-13 thousand steps a day) but I’m also now starting to implement home work outs into my daily routine, I mean I tried this the other day and lasted 10 minutes, embarrassing I know but that just proves how unfit I am and this just pushes me to improve my fitness and lifestyle.

So onto the challenge, I’ve heard a lot about the benefits of green tea and so has Georgia, so she has set me the challenge of drinking between 2/3 cups of green tea a day, this sounds easy I know but when it comes to tea or hot drinks in general I can be very fussy, I like sticking to my normal hot drinks, coffee, tea and maybe the odd camomile tea every now and again but when it comes to green tea I’m not the biggest fan so I have green tea with lemon & Georgia is introducing me to new flavours, it’s still got nothing on a normal cuppa but it’s definitely something I think I can see myself getting used to and implementing it in with my healthy eating.

For people who are unsure about the benefits of green tea I thought I’d list just a few so you can get more of an insight of the benefits it can do for you.

Green Tea Contains Bioactive Compounds That Improve Health

Green Tea Increases Fat Burning and Improves Physical Performance

Antioxidants in Green Tea May Lower Your Risk of Some Types of Cancer

Green Tea May Protect Your Brain in Old Age, Lowering Your Risk of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s

Green Tea Can Kill Bacteria, Which Improves Dental Health and Lowers Your Risk of Infection

Green Tea Can Help You Lose Weight and Lower Your Risk of Obesity

So these are just a few of the benefits that can help you when it comes to drinking green tea, I wanna keep you guys updated on how it’s going for me and if it helps me feel less bloated, so I’m gonna give it about a month and I will post again on how I’m feeling in myself and if it’s helped.

I hope you guys enjoyed my first post back and I can’t wait to get back into writing again.
