Quotes are literally everything to me, I live for quotes, they literally get me through any situation in life, I save all sorts of quotes on my phone from relationship ones, life ones, ones that make me laugh, ones that shout out to me personally and motivational ones, I just love quotes. To be quite honest I actually thought I was going to struggle when it came to writing this blog but when it came down to it I wrote a lot more than I first anticipated I would and got right into it and just wrote what I actually thought deep down about each quote. So in this blog I’m going to go into a bit more detail about what it is about the specific quotes above that I love so much.
So starting with the top left one and of course it’s by far my favourite EVER quote as you can tell by the name of my blog. ‘The world is your oyster’ and too right it is, you can achieve anything in life as long as you put your all into it. I’ve followed this quote a lot in my time, for instance I moved out from my parents home when I was 21 I just upped, left and moved to Manchester, I make it sound like it was a breeze but it was the most stressful 3 months ever. I had recently graduated from uni gaining a BA HONS degree in Drama and had went through a break up so I thought what better way to start a fresh chapter of my life than to move to a completely different city, meet some new people and try and pursue my career in acting. I remember posting this exact quote on my instagram page when I first decided about the move like it was yesterday but as alot of you already know the move to Manchester didn’t work out the way I had originally planned, but it worked out in my favour in the long run really, I met my soul mate and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, I will always take and follow this quote throughout the rest of my life.
The next quote is ‘Your dream doesn’t have an expiration date, take a deep breath and try again’ This quote just speaks to me, if your dream doesn’t work out how you planned it the first time just take a break and go back to it, for me I love this quote for two reasons the first one is because back in 2012 I auditioned for The X Factor, I absolutely love to sing but back then my voice wasnt as good as I actually thought it was the process for the show is so long and I definitely think my nerves got the best of me on that day and lets just say I didn’t get past the first round, I mean since then I havent auditioned again but I’ve grown in confidence with my singing and I think if I auditioned again now I would have a lot of confidence in myself and actually believe in myself a lot more. Even if I don’t follow that dream right now like the quote says your dream doesnt have an expiration date, I could follow my dreams in 5-10 years and still love it. As well as my love for singing I love acting too, I done a degree in Drama but as soon as I’d moved away I just lost all confidence in my acting ability and havent actually acted since, for me I would absolutely love to be in a musical my two passions rolled into one. I hope one day I can follow my heart and pursue this dream of mine, and if it doesnt work out the first time I’ll keep trying.
Now this third quote isn’t as serious as the other five but I just love it and it always makes me giggle whenever I see it, the quote reads ‘Do not accept badly made cups of tea. Do not surround yourself with people who make them. They don’t care about you.’ This quote for me is just great, I’m someone who loves a good cuppa tea (with biscuits to dunk obviously) I’m very picky when it comes to someone else making me tea cause they might make it wrong and I mean a bad cup of tea is just a no go really isn’t it. I like my tea that nice shade of light brown with milk and between 2-3 sugars depending how I’m feeling. Although I say I don’t like people making my tea I also hate making other people tea too especially if I dont really know how they like it, so sometimes I just tend to make it how I like it and they have to like it or lump it.
The 4th quote is the little one on the side which reads ‘There comes a day when you realize that turning the page is the best feeling in the world because you realize there’s so much more to the book than the page you were stuck on.’ Again I absolutely love this quote I don’t know if this is the same for others but I feel like when you go through a break up you dont want to move on you hope deep down that something will work out and everything will go back to how it used to be but when you realize that that’s not the case you do need to turn the page in your book and start a new chapter of your life, once you do this you will feel so much better in yourself and you can concentrate on yourself for a while, this is exactly what I done and turning that page was one of the best things I ever done.
So I thought I’d merge these last two quotes together as they can both relate to the same thing. ‘Life is a gift. Wake up every day and realize that.’ This first quote speaks for itself really, Life is a gift and you should never EVER take it for granted, tell the people in your life what they mean to you, make amends with people you’ve fallen out with, tell someone you love them, you never know what is going to happen in your life, live your life to the fullest and have no regrets. ‘Sometimes you just need to relax and trust that things are gonna work out. Let go a little and let life happen. This last quote is shouting out to me, you should never hold back when it comes to your life, if you wanna do something then go out and do it, just relax and let life take you where it wants to take you, don’t stress about anything if its going to happen it’ll happen and you need to let it, that’s what life is all about experiencing things you never thought you would ever experience. So live the life you want to live and love the way you live it.
